Italy Serie A

Antonio Di Natale - Surely Udinese’s Italian striker isn’t still playing? Yes he is! With 23 goals in 33 games his age shows no sign of catching up on him.  Expect the usual 20 + goals, how this guy has never been snapped up by a top champion’s league team is beyond me.

Gonzalo Higuain – Signed by Napoli to replace Edison Cavani, the Argentine striker that was largely ignored by previous employers Real Madrid can easily match the man he is to replace.  If it wasn’t for a certain CR7 then Higuain could have been a super star for Real Madrid, with 16 goals in 22 appearances he showed what he was capable given game time.

Erik Lamela – Roma’s Argentine striker managed 15 goals in 33 appearances last season and should of probably bagged a few more.  Roma are a team that possesses a lot of creativity with the unselfish assists from stalwart Totti I can see Lamela repeating his feats.

Fernando Llorente – Juventus’s new Spanish striker only managed 4 goals in 26 games last season, this doesn’t suggest a guy that’s going to make you a great deal of money.  However when you consider that prior to last season he averaged almost a goal every two games, and the fact that he fell out with his previous employers Athletic Bilbao due to transfer wranglings he can be forgiven.  Although he technically made 26 appearances it was clear that his heart wasn’t in it and that many appearances were brief late substitute appearances.
