Arsene Wenger should stay!

We are only one game into the new Premier League season and already fans are calling for Wenger to go, those more patient fans want him “moved upstairs”.  While I am not an Arsenal fan I will say that he should stay not because I take great satisfaction in watching the demise of Arsenal  but because he will ensure that you qualify for the Champions League and that is success… What am I saying?! Of course something needs to be done about him!  He has become bigger than Arsenal, he calls all the shots.  When you out grow something then some things got to give.

In the next couple of weeks I think we will see a scatter gun approach from Arsenal with lots of average bids going in for some “ok” players (see Yohan Cabaye), opposition clubs making the most of the pressure to sign players by knocking back the “derisory” bids.  The end result will be some signings of the same quality as Arteta, they won’t be bad players but they will do little more than bolster the squad.

Sure thing if Wenger stays there will be no relegation battle but I fear there will be no Premier League battle either.

The question is do Arsenal fans wish to stick or twist?
