Will Luke Moore follow in his brothers footsteps?

His name was once sung by tens of thousands of Villa fans, but for the majority of the last few seasons he has been a bench warmer at Swansea - the big question is what happens next to one of England’s former hottest prospects?

Will Luke rebuild his career and be a force in the Premier League? Or will he do a “Stefan Moore” and plummet down the leagues?  I for one hope he can build his career back up again, and if he does start to work his way down the leagues it is because of a lack of ability rather than an attitude problem.

Luke along with his brother Stefan was part of an Aston Villa youth team that won the 2002 Youth Cup against a much fancied Everton team that contained a certain Wayne Rooney.  Arguably the two Moore brothers outshone Rooney but with Stefan Moore having worked his way down the leagues to non-league football and with Luke looking to head the same way it is clear who will have the last laugh.

With 36 career goals in 237 appearances its clear why he has spent much of his time sat on a bench.  I can see Luke fitting into a team in the Championship, if he wants to be a star perhaps a League One club would be a better option for him; either way his next move maybe the one that decides his fate.  He needs regular football and more importantly at 27 years old he needs to start bagging the goals on a regular basis.
