Paul Lambert has bouncebackability

Ok so not the most convincing victory by Aston Villa against Sunderland, but a victory is a victory.  Gabriel Agbonlahor bagged the only goal of the game on 15 minutes to earn Villa's first victory in 6 games.

Buoyed by the return of Ron Vlaar Villa clung on to the early goal with the usual match saving performance by Brad Guzan.

Those that want a change in manager will point out the stats like possession, number of completed passes etc. however I would tell those people to take a look at Aston Villa's finest moment - winning the European cup.  Did we win in style? Or did we do what was necessary and score a goal and defend for our lives?

There is only one stat in football that matters and that is the score!

That being said the Transfer window is now open and if the past few weeks has shown us anything it is that we need a few experienced bodies in the spine of the team so let’s see what Lambert does next.

A side issue - does anyone know if I can get an away season ticket only next season?
